Reports To: VP of Digital Marketing

Overall Scope of Responsibility:

On Location Experiences is seeking a Director of Digital Content & Websites to define, create and manage the day to day operations including oversight of content, design, development, execution and implementation related to all the company’s brands, events and corporate websites. This position, must have a passion for driving consumer engagement to targeted audiences through the lens of conversion. The ideal candidate must be able to develop and articulate a vision for our digital universe. He or she must be a creative, data-driven marketer who is passionate about sports and entertainment and thrives in a fast-paced, high performing organization.

The Director, will serve as the gatekeeper to the websites and be accountable for driving content and reach across all multi-media platforms (web, apps, blogs, social media etc.) to increase engagement and conversion. This position, along with the Marketing Leadership team, will devise the strategic direction, content development and implementation for all the company’s websites, including future web initiatives of the organization.

The Director will collaborate with marketing, product development, ticket operations and technology teams to build and facilitate on-sales through our ecommerce sites. Additionally, this role will work closely with official partners to maximize online presence through marketing assets. This position will need to demonstrate the ability to lead, communicate cross-functionally and interact with all levels of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage website content (imagery, copy, layouts and brand elements) and build maintain web pages for best user experience along with maximizing sites for lead capture, engagement and sales
  • Maintain brand consistency (design, voice, tone, etc.) throughout all creative deliverables on the company’s websites, in collaboration with marketing and product teams
  • Coordinate efforts in partnership with go to market strategies with marketing teams
  • Work with marketing to gather web metrics on engagement, performance and lead capture
  • Optimize and contribute to content management systems across the company’s digital landscape
  • Create and manage digital content lifecycle
  • Coordinate with SEO team on content and keywords strategy to optimize sites for search engine marketing
  • Oversee social media staff & agency to create content across platforms in line with brand marketing guidelines
  • Train internal teams to use website content management system
  • Coordinate with technology team on issues of hardware/ software affecting websites
  • Manage project deadlines and be flexible to shifting priorities as needed
  • Keep up to date with industry best practices and monitor content /activities of competitor websites.

Requirements:

  • 4 Year Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital technologies or relevant field
  • Proven 5-8 years of relevant work experience within sports as digital website manager or copy writer
  • Detail orientated with an editorial mindset that seeks to understand what audiences consume and how best to communicate it
  • Solid experience with online marketing tools and web-based technologies
  • Demonstrate experience with implementing digital marketing initiatives that will scale to support the requirements of a growing organization with multiple brands
  • Familiarity and proficiency with standard industry tools including Google Analytics and various CMS publishing platforms
  • Self-starter with the ability to shift gears frequently and gracefully
  • Excellent interpersonal and team management skills
  • Basic video editing and knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a major plus
  • Have availability to work nights and weekends, as needed, at peak points of our business cycle

Vice President of Digital Marketing

Position:  Vice President of Digital Marketing

Reports To: SVP, Head of Marketing

Overall Scope of Responsibility:

On Location Experiences is looking for a Vice President of Digital Marketing to join our team. This position will be responsible for developing and delivering the company’s digital presence, driving purchasing behavior through the use of digital marketing strategies with a strong focus on the key business metrics including revenue, traffic, site conversion, and engagement for key events across several properties. He or she must have extensive knowledge of SEO, paid search & social, display & retargeting and digital analytics. This position will lead the digital team and oversee digital content, websites and social media functions for the company. The ideal candidate must be able to develop and articulate a vision for our digital marketing campaign, be a data-driven marketer who is passionate about sports and entertainment and thrives in a fast-paced, high performing organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop & implement a multi-platform digital paid media strategy in an effort to generate incremental sales, as well as brand awareness & online visibility across numerous concurring events
  • Lead a team of UX/UI, SEO/SEM, PPC, and content marketing professionals to develop & implement a detailed strategy/roadmap that includes all components of Search Engine Optimization: on-page, off-page and technical
  • Work closely with official partners to maximize SEO presence and online visibility on their websites through marketing assets
  • Manage & oversee all components of search engine marketing efforts including planning, implementing, budgeting, analyzing, and reporting
  • Optimize campaigns and maximize ROI: analyze and report keyword and campaign performance, implement campaign conversion tracking, optimize ad copies and ad groups
  • Lead ongoing optimization to include structure improvements, targeting improvements (geo, demographic, day-parting, keyword and URL), frequency caps, search query mining, keyword expansion, advanced use of negative keywords, and improvement in bid management processes and algorithms
  • Assist with the planning and implementation of campaigns in Google AdWords, Bing Adcenter, Yahoo Gemini, Facebook Ads, etc.
  • Manage relationships with online marketing partners, vendors and agencies such as Google, Bing, and Yahoo
  • Issues weekly and monthly reports: create templates, aggregate data and automate reports
  • Present data-driven insights: UX, demographics & campaign targeting, budget and spends allocation
  • Stay in tune with market trends, research, and new happenings within the SEM landscape

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or equivalent
  • 10+ years digital marketing experience with integrated media and marketing platforms that include experience in social, digital, and traditional marketing
  • Ability to lead, communicate cross-functionally and interact with all levels of the organization; must be able to articulate a vision and develop and deliver supporting marketing plans
  • Demonstrated experience with implementing digital marketing initiatives that will scale to support the requirements of a growing organization with multiple brands
  • Experience managing large-scale paid programs & budgets
  • Expert in SEO, technical SEO and SEO tools such as SEMRush, Ahrefs, MozPro, Screaming Frog and more
  • Expert knowledge/proficiency with industry standard tools including but not limited to, Google Analytics, GSC, Google Adwords, Adcenter, Gemini, Facebook Ads
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PPT, etc
  • Have availability to work nights and weekends, as needed, at peak points of our business cycle
