Event Accountant – Sports Division

Position: Event Accountant – Sports Division

Reports To: Sports Controller

Office Location:  New York, NY

Overall Scope of Responsibility:

This individual liaison with our event teams (travel, hospitality, etc.) to develop/implement reasonable forecasts and accurate reporting of our various sporting events. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of our accounting processes, as well as compliance with US GAAP in this area of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with event teams (ticketing, travel, hospitality, etc.) to track event profitability at a consolidated level.
  • Facilitate the monthly accounting close process for football-related events
  • Cash flow management of payables and receivables
  • Post event accounting and reconciliation
  • Prepare and maintain team/league sponsorship and settlement accounting
  • Identify and implement opportunities for cost improvements
  • Review and analyze event results as compared to budget and forecast by product line
  • Prepare monthly event-related financial records including P&Ls and account reconciliations
  • Maintain and promote standardized accounting policies and procedures
  • Evaluate current processes; identify and drive continuous improvement
  • Manage multiple projects, both routine and ad-hoc
  • Provide financial and accounting support to Company’s Sports Division management and Corporate accounting team


Requirements
:

  • Accounting degree required, CPA or CPA candidate preferred
  • Minimum 4+ years of progressive accounting experience in sports, events and/or live entertainment
  • Strong analytical and technical accounting skills, as well as excellent attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within time constraints, in a highly organized manner, and to adjust to changing priorities
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills – a collaborative style and ability to communicate effectively at all levels with strong oral, written, and presentation skills
  • Confident and positive presence
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with ability to create and analyze financial models
  • NetSuite or another ERP experience preferred
  • Some travel to our other offices and various sporting events will be required

Senior Manager, Digital Content & Websites

Position:  Senior Manager, Digital Content & Websites

Reports To: VP of Digital Marketing

Office Location:  New York, NY

Overall Scope of Responsibility:

On Location Experiences is seeking a Senior Manager of Digital Content & Websites to define, create and manage the day to day operations including oversight of content, design, development, execution and implementation related to all the companies brands, events and corporate websites. This position, must have a passion for driving consumer engagement to targeted audiences through the lens of conversion. The ideal candidate must be able to develop and articulate a vision for our digital universe. He or she must be a creative, data-driven marketer who is passionate about sports and entertainment and thrives in a fast-paced, high performing organization.
 
The Senior Manager, will serve as the gatekeeper to the websites and be accountable for driving content and reach across all multi-media platforms (web, apps, blogs, social media etc.) to increase engagement and conversion. This position, along with the Marketing Leadership team, will devise the strategic direction, content development and implementation for all the company’s websites, including future web initiatives of the organization.
 
The Senior Manager will collaborate with marketing, product development, ticket operations and technology teams to build and facilitate on-sales through our ecommerce sites. Additionally, this role will work closely with official partners to maximize online presence through marketing assets. This position will need to demonstrate the ability to lead, communicate cross-functionally and interact with all levels of the organization.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage website content (imagery, copy, layouts and brand elements) and build maintain web pages for best user experience along with maximizing sites for lead capture, engagement and sales
  • Maintain brand consistency (design, voice, tone, etc.) throughout all creative deliverables on the company’s websites, in collaboration with marketing and product teams
  • Coordinate efforts in partnership with go to market strategies with marketing teams
  • Work with marketing to gather web metrics on engagement, performance and lead capture
  • Optimize and contribute to content management systems across the company’s digital landscape
  • Create and manage digital content lifecycle
  • Coordinate with SEO team on content and keywords strategy to optimize sites for search engine marketing
  • Oversee social media staff & agency to create content across platforms in line with brand marketing guidelines
  • Train internal teams to use website content management system
  • Coordinate with technology team on issues of hardware/ software affecting websites
  • Manage project deadlines and be flexible to shifting priorities as needed
  • Keep up to date with industry best practices and monitor content /activities of competitor websites


Requirements
:

  • 4 Year Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital technologies or relevant field
  • Proven 3-5 years of relevant work experience as digital website manager
  • Detail orientated with an editorial mindset that seeks to understand what audiences consume and how best to communicate it
  • Solid experience with online marketing tools and web-based technologies
  • Demonstrate experience with implementing digital marketing initiatives that will scale to support the requirements of a growing organization with multiple brands
  • Familiarity and proficiency with standard industry tools including Google Analytics and various CMS publishing platforms
  • Self-starter with the ability to shift gears frequently and gracefully
  • Excellent interpersonal and team management skills
  • Basic video editing and knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a major plus
  • Have availability to work nights and weekends, as needed, at peak points of our business cycle

Senior Marketing Manager

Overall Scope of Responsibility:

On Location Experiences is looking for a Senior Marketing Manager to join our team. This position will be responsible for overseeing marketing initiatives and media campaigns for the NFL On Location brand. This candidate will ensure consistent brand passion, positioning and messaging across all marketing channels and work to drive sales for all upcoming events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside marketing executives and sales team to develop marketing priorities, tactics and results
  • Manage day to day marketing programs to drive ticket sales and renewal campaigns for marquee NFL events (i.e. Super Bowl, Pro Bowl, London Games, Mexico Game & NFL Draft) including development of messaging, campaigns creative, strategic alliances and go to market communication
  • Develop and manage multi-channel, segmented campaigns that utilize owned and paid media to drive leads, opportunities and sales growth for all business
  • Manage day to day brand projects with creative team, agencies and OLE business units across all events
  • Create marketing plans, campaigns and GTM strategies for all marquee NFL events
  • Serve as a liaison with the NFL on marketing assets including digital, tv, radio, etc.
  • Oversee brand integration and quality control across all relationships and marketing partnerships
  • Assist with special projects to support On Location (corporate) as needed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in the area of marketing, communications, advertising, sports business or related field
  • 5-8 years of marketing & advertising experience at a sports league, team, brand or agency
  • Experience in planning & managing large campaigns across multiple media channels
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, as well a proven track record of strategic thinking
  • Extensive experience in brand and creative marketing initiatives
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • Leadership background and track record of successful team management
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines, manage expectations and work late nights and weekends as needed

Marketing Internship

Position:  Marketing Internship

Overall Scope of Responsibility:

The marketing intern will work closely with the team on the promotion of upcoming events and experiences. We are looking for someone to assist in developing content, organizing assets and positioning these events for sales success. This intern will work independently and receive projects from multiple team members, so he or she will need to be organized, flexible and able to prioritize tasks. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Marketing team members with research, creative concepting and other projects
  • Regularly contribute to the company’s website content and proof existing pages/updates for accuracy
  • Organize the company’s photo database system through uploading photos and tagging existing content
  • Participate in and document company brainstorms, meetings, etc.

Requirements:

  • Must be a creative thinker that is available to give 4 days a week in our fast-paced working environment, and bring enthusiasm, energy and initiative to the team.
  • Proficient written and oral communication skills as well as excellent organizational and time management skills are a must
  • Understanding of the sports and entertainment industry
  • Ability to interact with all levels of associates within the organization
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Previous internship experience is a plus
