HALF DAY TOURS

Westminster Abbey, Changing of the Guard & The Royal Mews

• No visit to London is complete without taking a visit to the extraordinary Westminster Abbey, a beautiful Gothic church steeped in more than a thousand years of British history. The Changing of the Guard takes place at Buckingham Palace on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, and is weather permitting. Following Changing of the Guard guests will take a short stroll to The Royal Mews.

Tower of London

• Today the Tower remains the home of the magnificent Crown Jewels, a collection which includes the Imperial State Crown, still worn by H.M The Queen at the annual State Opening of Parliament, and the Sovereign’s Sceptre which boasts the largest cut diamond in the world at 530 carats, the “First Star of Africa”. Guests will be escorted by private tour guides and split up into small groups so that they have the opportunity to really take in the history and the many stories and myths that surround this ancient landmark.

Windsor Castle & Eton

• The towers and walls of Windsor Castle dominate the town in splendid majesty as befits the world's most famous royal residence. Guests will visit the magnificent Windsor Castle State Apartments with their priceless collections of furniture and art along with St George's Chapel, home to the Most Noble Order of the Garter and in which many Kings and Queens have been buried and also the location of the Royal Wedding of Prince Harry to Meghan Markle in May 2018. An interior visit will be made to the Castle followed by a walking tour across the river to Eton, home to our most famous ‘public’ schools, Eton College which was founded by Henry VI in 1440. Eton has educated 19 British prime ministers and members of the Royal family including Princes William and Harry. Then there is some time at leisure to have lunch and explore before boarding the coach to return.
