First Ever Bud Light Super Bowl Music Fest Delivers All-Star Acts for Unforgettable Super Bowl LIII Weekend

Bud Light, EA Sports and On Location Experiences Elevate Super Bowl Weekend with Huge Three-Night Music Festival

Atlanta’s State Farm Arena Hosts Superstar Performances by Bruno Mars, Cardi B, Aerosmith, Post Malone, Ludacris, Ciara, Migos and More 


ATLANTA, GA. — February 4, 2018 – On Location Experiences (“On Location” or “OLE”), the official hospitality partner of the National Football League (“NFL” or “The League”) and Bud Light, the official beer sponsor of the NFL, kicked off the biggest weekend of the NFL season with the inaugural Bud Light Super Bowl Music Fest. The three-night concert series was held at Atlanta’s fully transformed, premium, sports and live entertainment venue, State Farm Arena, and featured some of the biggest names in music including Bruno Mars, Cardi B, Post Malone, Aerosmith, Ludacris, Migos and many more.

The Bud Light Super Bowl Music Fest was executive-produced by On Location Experiences and SYNERGY Productions, LLC, in partnership with State Farm Arena and the Atlanta Hawks, with additional production support from Live Nation Urban. Throughout the course of three nights, over 41,000 music and NFL fans filled State Farm Arena to watch their favorite artists perform. Additional presenting partners for the Bud Light Super Bowl Music Fest are EA Sports, Ticketmaster and StubHub.

Highlights of each night are as follows:

Electronic Arts Inc.’s “EA SPORTS BOWL” brought the “city’s hip-hop royalty together for a reverse-chronological survey of Atlanta music” (New York Times) with hip-hop legend Ludacris headlining opening-night with Ciara and Jermaine Dupri. Ludacris also shared the stage with Jeezy and T.I., marking the first time the three Atlanta legends had shared the stage together. The Quality Control showcase featured rap supergroup Migos, with special guests Gucci Mane, Lil Yachty and Lil Baby. Additional performances included Metro Boomin and a DJ set by Lil Jon.

3.25 million additional viewers live streamed the EA SPORTS BOWL on Twitter.

The Super Friday show combined classic and current with sets from Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Aerosmith and record-setting, multi-platinum artist Post Malone. Steven Tyler passed the mic to Dave Grohl during “Living On the Edge” for a “sweet generational cross-over” (AJC) and Swae Lee (Rae Sremmurd) joined Post Malone to perform Billboard #1 single “Sunflower” (Spiderman: Into the Spider-Verse). 

Nearly 1.5 million additional viewers live streamed Super Friday on Twitter. The show also trended top five US on Twitter.

On Saturday, Bud Light Super Bowl Eve saw electrifying performances by Bruno Mars, Cardi B and Lil Jon. Lil Jon opened the show with a surprise appearance followed by Cardi B who just hit #1 with her current single “Money.” Cardi offered a nod to Super Bowl half-time headliners Maroon 5 “make some noise if you’re excited to see Maroon 5 tomorrow” then performed a rendition of the Maroon 5-Cardi B song “Girls Like You.” Headliner Bruno Mars electrified the crowds with a fourteen song set featuring his biggest hits. “With full showmanship on display, Mars employed his trademark moves like sliding across the stage with elaborate footwork,” wrote the Atlanta Journal Constitution. This shows marks the first time Bruno Mars and Cardi B performed on the same ticket after Cardi B canceled plans to tour with Mars last year.
